Responsible Behavior

Based on the Six Pillars of Character, the AIM strives to develop responsible behavior in our students through a series of activities and events that allow them to understand experience and model the different behaviors reflective of the TRRFCC values, six pillars of character, embodied in the Character Counts! Program:

Trustworthiness: honesty, integrity, promise-keeping, loyalty
Respect: courtesy, nonviolence, tolerance, autonomy
Responsibility: duty, accountability, pursuit of excellence, self-restraint
Fairness: openness, consistency, impartiality
Caring: kindness, compassion, empathy
Citizenship: civic virtue, lawfulness, common good

All AIM community is expected to develop the six pillars of character in AIM students at all times, implementing activities and assignments to shape character.

When students are not following expected behaviors, teachers and staff need to apply a Disciplinary plan call Responsible Behavior Process. The basis of this plan is to get students to accept responsibility for changing problem behaviors. The basis for helping students in this regard is to develop positive relationships with students based on courtesy, open communication and mutual respect.
