Upper Development
In alignment with the AIM mission and iPal philosophy, which we revise periodically, the Upper Development division faculty and staff believe that each student is a unique individual and are committed to identify his/her personal and academic needs, as well as to provide learning experiences that respond to them. We strive to develop the academic, social-emotional, physical and artistic potential of each child.
We are also aware of the current demands of a fast changing global world; we understand our role of developing the skills our students will need to be the leaders that the 21st century requires, and we reflect that in our curriculum design and instructional practice; electronic gadgets and devices like iPods and lap tops are used for social networks like blogs, wikis and googledocs are used as naturally and regularly as pencils and pens.

We are equally concerned with creating the kind of school environment that supports the development of core and cross-cultural values, as well as civic and global responsibility in our students. Our social-emotional development program has been improved during the past two years with a strong partnership with a committee of "CC Mothers".
Students may elect to enroll in optional co-curricular courses in both Sports and Fine Arts programs, for a fee. These classes offer small group expert instruction for students who want to pursue a particular talent or passion. In Sports their choices are: basketball, tae kwon do, soccer, and track and field. Students enrolled participate in various tournaments and competitions throughout the school year. In Fine Arts students can choose from: painting, introductory ceramics, cello, violin, piano, guitar, flute, viola, sax, electric bass and dance at levels I, II and III, as well as Drama I.
