SDP (Student Development Plan)

Under i-PAL we develop a personal development plan for each student, in all five areas, where specific objectives are set, plans of action determined and set in motion, followed by monitoring to achieve results. Parents participate in this process, meeting the head teacher or advisor to review and set the Student Development Plan (SDP) for their child, three times a year. Students have an active voice and participation in this process as of first grade.

Student Development Plans are key to delivering personalized learning. They can improve learning outcomes and increase student achievement.

The SDP allows teachers to meet the specific needs of each student by collaborating with parents to identify each student's strengths and target areas for his or her growth, and then tracking the student's development toward, and achievement of the targets.

By engaging in this process, continuity of growth is maximized with all partners participating meaningfully.

AIM CHAT

The AIMCHAT (American Institute of Monterrey-Child Achievement Tracker) electronic applications provide support for the personalization of education at the American Institute of Monterrey (i-PAL Systems).

AIMCHAT consists of three separate but connected modules: Student Information, the Student Development Plan, and the Aim chat tracking system in the main skills of Literacy and Numeracy, as well as for Social Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL). All information on your child is stored in this application. From general student information, to medical records, to course registration in arts and sports, to cafeteria and transportation services, to progress reports on Literacy, Numeracy, report cards and standardized test results. Parents are responsible for maintaining information current in the general information section, including their child's medical records.
